So I had to make the post about how to shoot a bow for one of my classes and upload a video for part of the assignment... Anyways....
I just finished up another semester of school, it seemed like it would never end, and I will never take 18 credit hours again, but I am happy that this fall will be my last semester of classes and then I will student teach in the spring!!!
Back in March I went with my roommate Aimee and my brother Ben on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean! We flew to San Juan, PR and the boat sailed from there to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Barbados, St. Lucia. St. Kitts, and St. Martin.
We didn't have a direct flight so we had to change planes a few times, which wasn't bad until we were on our flight from Philadelphia to San Juan and people decided that they needed to walk through our isle to get to the bathroom on the other side of the plane. I was asleep, kinda, and woke up because this lady was climbing over Aimee;s legs to try and get through to the other side of the plane. And another time I woke up when another lady smacked Ben in the head cause he was leaned forwards and asleep and the lady was tryin to get through... it made for a long flight but finally we were there in nice 70 degree weather! We made it on the ship and set sail for St. Thomas.
St. Thomas
Went went on a tour of the island for the first part of the day, walked around through the city and shopped some, and then spent a few hours at the beach.
Barbados
We had planned to go snorkeling here, but the weather decided otherwise and it was rainy off and on, so we were walking around and ran into a guy and his wife and they asked if we'd want to share a charter boat and go out deep sea fishin'! It was a steal of a deal and so we went. I ended up being the only one to catch anything.
St. Lucia
In St. Lucia it was expensive to do everything!!! So we went on an tour around the island, but it was a not the funnest drive through the windy roads and ups and downs and they drive like a bunch of crazies but it was a pretty island.
St. Kitts
This was probably my favorite island. It was super laid back, the people were nice and everything was reasonably priced. We went to a place called Brimstone Hill which had an old fort and a bunch of cool other buildings that were built there when it was first established. Then we spent the second half of the day at the beach and snorkeled.
Cockleshell Beach- We found tons of neat shells and also so lots of sea life while snorkeling here. Ben also left his pants with money and passport and all here, but remember a few minutes after we left and luckily is was still there when we went back.
St. Martin- I guess I didn’t take any pictures this day with my camera…. but we just laid on the beach and walked around and shopped here. We also ate some authentic food and it was delicious.
San Juan
I loved San Juan and would like to go back there some day. In Old San Juan, which is where we stayed, there are 2 forts and a huge wall that connects them that surrounds the whole city. We wandered around for hours at the 2 forts and down on the boardwalk.
Overall it was a great trip and most of all it was nice to see some sun!
